sibley apple orchard

2008 October 7

DF surprised me on Saturday by taking me on a motorcyle ride to an apple orchard about fifty miles outside of town.  Little did we know until we’d been on the road for almost an hour that this orchard was fifty miles from Independence, MO…we live an hour southwest of Independence.  Rather than continuing to drive for another fifty minutes (DF had three very important college football games to watch later that day) we looked around for the nearest activity in Buckner, MO, where we stopped to fill up on gas.  Low and behold, another apple orchard was a measly two miles from the gas station.  Enter Sibley Orchard and Cider Mill, a quaint store and farm planted directly outside of the hustle and bustle of this small town.  We picked up some fresh yummy apples and glazing sauce, and DF left me a few minutes to run around and shoot photos.
